 "That is the name of the new collection by me&m. 

Happy, summery, sunny, surfy, but mainly great for festivals. 

Inspired by the admired Coachella festival style, only designed & handmade in Slovakia. 

The collection will consist of only a few, but very colorful pieces." 

Working on this portrait and "making of" was such fun.

The next step will be shooting the lookbook for this collection next week. 

Thanks me&m for this opportunity - and for the most delicious lunch once again! I love my job. 

Light as a Feather

A few days ago I had the amazing opportunity to peek into the little kingdom of me&m, a slovak fashion label, team of two - the designer Paulína Vinterová, and the maker, her mum. This 3 in 1, ingeniously designed lightweight chiffon blouse went home with me. What I love about it, is that it says 3 in 1, but really, you can wear it many more fun ways,  I didn't even discover all of them yet. All their pieces are so thoughtfully designed and beautifully minimalistic. I'm already looking forward to our collaboration, which I'll tell you more about this week. 

Also, I'm making space in my closet for my future autumn-winter coat, that's in the making!

Pred niekoľkými dňami som mala možnosť nahliadnuť do malého kráľovstva s názvom me&m, slovenská značka, tím návrhárky Paulíny Vinterovej a jej mamy, realizátorky - ktorá sa mimochodom umiestnila na druhom mieste za mojou mamou - ale veľmi tesne - vo výrobe bryndzových halušiek - ktoré keď som zjedla, mala som chuť sa k nim nasťahovať. Domov so mnou išla táto 3 v 1 geniálne navrhnutá a ušitá ľahučká šifónová blúzka. Čo na nej milujem je, že síce sa volá 3 v 1, ale v skutočnosti ju môžete nosiť na oveľa viac super spôsobov, ešte som ani na všetky neprišla. Všetky ich "kúsky" sú totiž veľmi minimalistické, ale zároveň veľmi premyslené. Už sa teším na našu spoluprácu, o ktorej vám poviem viac tento týždeň. 

Tiež si robím miesto v skrini na môj budúci jesenno-zimný kabátik, ktorý je /juchú/ vo výrobe!

Random

 

Summer (!) is keeping me way too busy with a lot of outdoor shots  (ladies can look forward to male models too!) Add two side jobs to it, and I'm glad for at least a bit of sleep. But I can't complain,  I've been waiting for nice weather for too long. 

I'm still pretty hooked to Pinterest and Instagram, so if you follow me, you have already seen a bit more pictures over there in the last few weeks. Speaking of which, maybe some of you don't know (I doubt it, but will still say it) that you will no longer be able to use Google Reader to follow blogs, starting 1.6.13. 

I've added all the links to other places you can follow me on the right sidebar of this blog,including link to Bloglovin' (I use that - it's that tiny blue cross). I'm still working on my google plus profile, so that button is not active yet. On most places I'm still using my old blog name (Grain and Silk - or grainandsilk). I still love the name and I still am planning on doing the book version of that blog, which is sadly disabled now because of some weird virus.

Some links...I'm very much in love with Laura Mvula's album Sing to the Moon. I've played this song about million times, I think.  Also, just read one of the most wonderful books ever (thanks to LeSimple's post), that is called The Elegance of the Hedgehog, by Muriel Barbery. I'm a very bad reviewer, so I'll just quote Bernard Black of Black Books:

 "You'll laugh, you'll cry, it'll change your life. Bye"

Fíha, to bol zase nápad s tým prekladaním...ale tak keď už som sa rozhodla do toho ísť :D
Leto ma zamestnáva, hlavne fotením vonku - dámy sa môžu tesiť na fotky pekných mužov! Ak k tomu pridáte ďalšie 2 joby, no som rada, že sa aj občas vyspím. Ale nesťažujem sa, lebo na takéto počasie som čakala veľmi dlho.

Stále som veľmi rada na Pintereste a Instagrame, takže ak ma sledujete tam, mohli ste už vidieť trošku viac fotiek ako tu. Keď už sme pri tom, určite viete, ale len pripomínam, že od 1.júna už nebudete

môcť sledovať blogy cez Reader, takže som pridala na pravú stranu ako ja ich volám 

"sociálne tlačítka" ktorými sa dostanete na všetky miesta, na ktorých môžete sledovať, čomu sa práve venujem.  Ja používam Bloglovin' - ten malý modrý krížik.Na väčšine z nich ma nájdete pod názvom môjho starého blogu (grainandsilk), ktorý je momentálne neprístupný, kvôli nejakému vírusu, nerozumiem celkom, čo sa tam stalo. Mimochodom, knižku s rovnakým názvom mám stále v pláne.

Indigo Crush

Not only I'm becoming a scarf maniac, but I've also been obsessed with indigo. 

A friend once said that my photos are mostly in blue tones, which I loved. 

If somebody asked me to pick my favourite colour, I couldn't say, but I know it's all the possible colours and shades that sky can have. 

 IT'S SPRING!!! I'm happy a a flea. (something we say here, I don't know why either.)

  Nielenže sa zo mňa stáva šatkový úchyl, ale tiež mám obsesiu s indigovou. 

Jedna kamarátka raz povedala, že moje fotky sú väčšinou v modrých tónoch, čo sa mi páčilo. 
 Ak by sa niekto spýtal na moju obľúbenú farbu, nevedela by som, ale určite viem že sú to všetky možné odtiene a farby oblohy. 

 JE JAR!!!! Som šťastná ako blcha.

Coffee with....Red Poppy Stories

I became addicted to her blog some time ago.

She's funny, very laid-back and instantly loveable!

I asked Zuzka to bring her favourite object, 

and I think they match together perfectly, no? 

This is a start of a new regular instant series, hope you'll enjoy them, I'm sure I will. 

This is the first time I've used Impossible Project's new Color Protection film,
(which I'm finally able to get in Bratislava, via Instant Shop)

and I'm so in love. I'm eagerly waiting for this new formula to be used on my

beloved Silver Shade film.
